The St. Paul Youth Group is collecting socks and underwear February 11 - February 25 for the Wellspring Foster System. We are asking for new children's socks and underwear. Donation boxes can be found in the Ministry Center and School. | |

Due to our recent snow day, the Junior Symphonic Band Winter Concert has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 13, at 7:00 pm in our St. Paul Gym. | |
Sub Sale Fundraiser for 7/8th Grade Trip | |
|
The 7/8th grade students will have a 6” sub sandwich fundraiser to raise money for their end of the year class trip. There are multiple ways to order your ham, turkey, or ham and turkey sub. Choose one of the following options:

Subs will be assembled on Friday, March 1, and will be available for pick-up after school the same day. Subs are $7.00 each, payment due at time of pick-up.

February 14, 2024-Dress Opportunities | |

What a blessing to have the 100th Day, Healthy Heart Challenge, and Valentine’s Day all on the same day. Due to the unique nature of the celebrations, St. Paul is inviting students to dress like a centenarian (someone who is 100 years old), and/or wear red/pink/purple, and/or bring your athletic shorts and St. Paul spirit wear for the Healthy Heart Challenge athletic activities at 12:30 pm. Athletic shorts should be modest (not exceeding 4 inches from the knee). | |
Parent Teacher Conferences | |

Y5-8th Grade Winter Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, February 15, from 11:45 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and Friday, February 16, from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. While St. Paul highly encourages participation for Fall Conferences, Winter Conferences are optional. If you desire to meet with your student's teacher to discuss academic or behavioral concerns, the sign up can be found here. | |

Extended Care for Thursday, February 15 | |

Do you need Extended Care on Thursday, February 15 after the early dismissal at 11:30 a.m.? If so, you need to sign up using the online form below or by contacting the office or Mrs. Kramer. Deadline to register is Friday, February 9! We will need at least 7 children signed up in order to provide care. Please plan to bring a sack lunch from home. | |

There will be a Cheer & Poms Showcase on Thursday, February 22 at 5:30 p.m. at Zion Bay City. Tickets will be $2 per adult and can be purchased in the school office beforehand. | |

5:30-7:30 p.m.
Children Preschool-5th grade and their families are invited to join us for an evening of pizza, pop, dessert, and dancing. You will need to purchase your ticket for the dance. Tickets are available in the office for $12 per family. Please purchase your ticket by Tuesday, February 20, so that we can have enough food and drinks for everyone! If anyone would like to help decorate or set up for the event, please let Mrs. Lara know!

Older children may walk with their parent. Contact Kristen Glasser at 989-529-2962 to participate. A waiver must be signed in the school office prior to the event and a parent is required to accompany their child at the event.

Easter Egg Hunt - March 23, 2024 | |

Plans are underway for an outdoor Easter Egg Hunt on March 23, 2024 (Rain date March 30).
The Sunday School program is looking for candy donations for its up coming Easter Egg hunt. Small, wrapped candy that will fit inside a small plastic egg is preferred. If you feel inclined to donate candy for the event please bring candy to church or school and drop it in the labeled box by Sunday, March 17, 2024.
We will be filling eggs on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at the Ministry Center if you would like to join us. If you have any questions or can volunteer your time for the event, please call or text Tiffany List at 989-225-8516 or Catherine Hutter at 989-395-5540 or contact the church office.

Wildcat Club - Third Quarter 5-8 Grade Edition | |
|
Due to the unique theme of the quarter, Wildcat Club will be made available to St. Paul students in 5-8th grade. During the Third Quarter, the Wildcat Club will experience Line Dancing. Any 5-8th grade student can participate as long as he or she has a signed permission slip. A hard copy of the permission slip went home with students today. Fourth quarter will once again include students in grades 3-8. | |
Cafeteria Kid Assistant Volunteer | |

Thank you to our Second Quarter Cafeteria Kid Assistant Volunteers! You helped our students navigate the cafeteria procedures, cleaned tables between groups, and assisted students with opening food and drink containers. We appreciate you! If you would like to help during the second quarter, please check out the Third Quarter Sign Up Genius here. Only one volunteer is needed each day from 11:00 am -12:30 pm. Thanks for your help serving our school community! | |

Over the past couple years, students of St. Paul have enjoyed a week of summer camp at Camp Lu Lay Lea. This summer a number of St. Paul families are hoping to send their campers during Week 6 (July 28-August 3). With cold weather coming, we inevitably know that there may be a Snow Day or two in our future. How will you know if school is closed for a Snow Day? Check these three places:
- St. Paul Lutheran School will be closed when Bay City Public School closes, watch for it on WNEM's School Closings.
- The office will also send out a FastDirect email.
- School Closings will be posted on our St. Paul Lutheran School Facebook Page.
