NO FEAR

Proverbs 29:25 says, “The fear of man bringeth a snare [trap], but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.” In Job 3:25 Job said, “For the thing that I greatly feared is come upon me. And that which I was afraid of is come unto me.”

When we have fear, that fear gives Satan his opportunity. It leaves us vulnerable to him because we are standing in faith, trusting the Lord in all things. Fear and faith are opposites; you cannot have both at the same time.

What fears do you have? Perhaps a lack of money to meet your present or future needs? Maybe fear of declining health? What about fear of abandonment? How about fear of burning in hell or the fear of losing your home or your family member?

Satan is the author of all fear. “Fear of the Lord” is a reverence to God, and not “fear” in the traditional sense, as in being afraid.

2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

If you have any fear or are afraid of anything that might happen, you must understand now that this fear is from an evil spirit that has come to torment you. Rebuke that fear in the name of Jesus and plead the blood of Jesus against it. Then, open your mouth and give God praise and thanksgiving to Jesus and thank Him for His shed blood which overcomes and conquers all fear.

Praise conquers fear.

THE SPEED BUMP

Speedbumps? I am sure you have seen them. They are manmade risers or mounds put on some roads from one side to another.  They are put there intentionally to make people drive slower in that community. If you do not slow down, you might regret it as you hit the speed bump. It could damage your vehicle.

I was thinking about speed bumps this morning when the Holy Spirit said, “Some speed bumps in life are put there to slow you down.”  

You might not recognize these speed bumps, or bumps in the road, but they may not be what you think they are. Often, we want to accelerate things and do not listen to that still small voice of the Holy Spirit saying, “Slow down! Trouble ahead!”  

Those speed bumps or bumps in the road are incidences put into our lives to slow us down. Most of the time they come because we have not been listening to the Lord, or we are off the right path. They actually come for our protection. It is God’s way of bringing us to a place where we “have to listen” because we are slowed down by Him.  

Perhaps as you are reading this, you have been in a hurry to see things change in your life. That is when God says, He wants to spend time with you right where you are because the direction you are going in is not the right direction. It might not necessarily be something bad you want to do, but it is not the right time for that to happen. That bump in the road is God’s way of stopping you.  

Whatever the case may be, if you find yourself in a place like that, why not just stop what you are doing right now and have a little talk with the Lord. Find out what His plan is, then follow it. Thank him for those speed bumps and the other bumps in the road that he has allowed. It is God’s way of protecting you.

Psalms 119:133 says, “Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.” If we use this psalm as a prayer, we are sure to have God direct our steps and avoid the “speed bumps.”

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

Don't be surprised when God gives you an assignment that is way beyond your ability. It is His intention to stretch your faith. If you could do everything that He asked of you without help from Him, then no faith would be required, but that is not how you grow. He trusts that you will accomplish the assignment but not in your own strength. You will do it with the strength of the Lord, knowing that if God asks you to do something He will help you accomplish it!

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

Just remember you will EXHALE or SPEAK out of your MOUTH whatever you INHALE or LISTEN to with your EARS or SEE with your EYES. It reminds me of the little song we sang as a child way back in Sunday School. “Be careful little ears what you hear, for there’s a Father up above looking down on you in love. So be careful little ears what you hear…It then says be careful little eyes what you see and etc. Yes, we must be very CAREFUL what we ALLOW to come into our hearts and into our lives THROUGH our EYE GATE and our EAR GATE. Dr. Luke wrote these words in Luke 6: 45…”A good person out of the good treasure of their heart brings forth what is good; And the evil person out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil. For their mouth will speak what their heart is full of.” Indeed, my friend what we take IN through our EARS; We will surely put OUT from our MOUTHS at some point in time. So just be very careful little EYES what you SEE; And be careful little EARS what you HEAR…For what you put IN you will sooner or later come OUT in some way from your MOUTH.
