No matter who you are, very few of us escape this dreaded disease. Some at a personal level and others by knowing a loved one who has walked the cancer journey.
To say I have been fascinated with understanding cancer is an understatement. No other subject or theme fills my personal library than books and published literature on this matter. From Siddhartha Mukherjee's The Gene and The Emperor of All Maladies to The Metabolic Approach to Cancer and Tripping Over The Truth, this subject matter is one that consumes me and fuels me to find the best anti cancer strategies for myself, my family and My Hive!
From this moment on I will refer to Cancer as Cx because I believe we can X out the aberrant and turn on our innate healing abilities, given the best information, choices and actions that we take.
At a personal level, In 2005 my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cx. In 2009 she was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma at her thoracic spine that left her paralyzed for 9 months. She required emergency neurosurgery and it was stated she would not walk again. She had an aggressive form of NHL and would likely not survive >3-4 months. I challenged her doctors to check with me in a year as I vowed to beat those predictions. I won't go into the details however, I can tell you that my mom survived 2 cx diagnosis, she did walk again and has lived a functional and vibrant life, blessing my family all these years. On both of those occasions, we opted for minimal conventional treatments and concentrated on a multitude of strategies to build immune resilience and promote her body's natural cancer fighting abilities.
If you are looking for a "Magic Bullet", you will miss the mark. There are many factors involved in the development of cancer, and rarely can you blame your genes. Hereditary mutations account for only 5-10% of all cancers.
There are equally as many strategies to deal with the disease.
The last few years has resulted in an escalation of cx diagnosis. Stress with its pro-inflammatory impact is at an all time high. As if modern life itself is not challenging enough, we now have to contend with germs/pathogens that have been manipulated and gene therapies that were going to save the day (Not a Chance!) Both these factors have disabled our God given immune system, often resulting in oncogenes being turned on and cx suppressor genes being turned off. For those who do not know what that means, it simply means providing the right environment for cx to express.

In early 2022 my brother's brain tumor (meningioma), stable for many years started to grow in size. Though we will never know for certain, my belief is that it occurred from the self amplification properties (aka shedding). Over the course of 1 year and dedicated strategies, we have been able to not only stop the growth but also decreased the size to that of years past.
