Dear Parents,

Our students are so excited about the upcoming Valentine activities. Please see the signs around the school so you will know what to send in or ask our staff.

We are also excited about the Colgate Bus which will be coming to us the middle of February. This is something we do every year and it is great for kids who have never been to the dentist. The kids go on a parked air-conditioned bus that looks like a dental office. They watch a little cartoon and learn about healthy teeth. Then they have a chance to sit in the dentist's chair and the dentist counts their teeth. If they see any problems you will get a report. Remember this is educational and NON INVASIVE. The kids will also get a free toothbrush and other goodies.

To participate, all students must have a signed permission form. Those forms will go out next week so please be on the lookout.

This week our VPK kids visited the Science Lab and did a similar sinking and floating activity (watered down...literally) than our Kindergarten kids did last week. They tested several items and in the end, were able to count and compare how many sank and how many floated. Our older kids last week did a write-up and completed a graph. Our younger kids also learned about the letter sounds of S and F for sink and float.

We enjoyed colder weather this week, but many kids left their jackets on the playground. Please be sure to check the lost and found location outside the school. All those jackets have no names on them. Parents, PLEASE write your child's name on ALL jackets that come to school so we can reunite them with their owners when they are lost.
