Note about service on Sunday: The city of Benton is installing a new water line by the church at the corner of Market Street and Sevier Street is blocked so there is no turning on Sevier from Market. The Sevier Street parking lot is accessible by turning right onto South Street from Market and then right on Richards Street to come back up on Sevier to the parking lot.

We Need You on Easter Sunday!

How We Need You

On Easter Sunday, April 20th, Benton FUMC has an opportunity for you to serve our members and our guests. Please prayerfully consider serving as a greeter at one of our three services on Easter. You can sign up to be a greeter in one of our parking lots, at one of our outside entry doors, and inside the building to help our guests navigate through the building.

All you need is a smile, a word of welcome and a desire to meet new guests.

Why Hospitality Matters?

Debi Nixon, who serves as one of the executive directors at Church of the Resurrection, writes, “Have you had an experience where you walked into a business, a restaurant, or a hotel, and within seconds the first things you encountered made an immediate impression on you? The church creates the same effect. The hospitality we demonstrate matters. Our hospitality can be a bridge that draws people in and encourages them to take the next step of faith, or it can be the barrier where individuals quickly decide to disengage.”

On The Blog

On the blog this week, Bro. Walt explores Chapter 26 of "The Story" and asks us to consider how Christ is inviting us to reflect more deeply on the meaning of his humility and service. What does his example at the Last Supper teach is about the kind of King Jesus is?
