Featuring Rev. Kent Kilbourne, Dr. Larry Burrows, and Dr. Lee Ancona (retired educator). A light lunch will be served each Sunday.

  • June 4: An overview with Larry, Lee, and Kent
  • June 11: The Few Things That Matter (Rev. Kent Kilbourne)... Very few things in our marriages matter, but the few things that do matter, matter immensely. We'll discuss what makes a good marriage great, and we'll look at those things that matter most.
  • June 18: What's on Your Bucket List? (Dr. Lee Ancona)... What hopes and dreams and activities would you like to experience in your older years? What's holding you back? How can you make every day worth getting up for?
  • June 25: Maintaining Our Health (Dr. Larry Burrows)... Our ability to stay healthy and stay ahead of our health concerns are critical to living life as fully as possible in our older years.

AUMC FELLOWSHIP OF MEN BASEBALL OUTING

Men: you are invited to come out and watch the Cleburne Railroaders on Saturday, June 17th. Bring your sons and grandsons, too! First pitch is at 7:06pm, and we will have a section reserved for seating. The first 500 fans will receive a free Hawaiian shirt, so plan to arrive early! Tickets are $16 each. ADULT MISSION TRIP

July 9-12, Conroe, TX


Aledo UMC is sending another team to the Mission Center in Conroe, where we will assemble disaster relief kits. If you would like to join the mission team, the deadline to register is June 18. Contact Alicia Henze at arhenze@aol.com or Peggy Badlato at pbadlato@att.net.


We are also collecting the following items to be used in the relief kits:

  • Bath towels - new and unwashed
  • Washcloths - new and unwashed
  • Adult and children's toothbrushes, in original packaging
  • 24-count crayons, new
  • Single-subject spiral notebooks

Donations may be placed in the marked bin in the Narthex. Thank you!

MOTHER'S DAY OUT

MEN'S DEVOTIONAL BREAKFAST

Pastor Joel will be sharing a short devotional with this group. Burritos and coffee will be served. This is an opportunity to meet new people and decompress. The goal is for those not retired, to get back on the road by 8:15, at the latest. A donation of $5 is asked to cover the cost.

The AUMC safety team is in need of volunteers to be observers at key

entrances and also serve in the parking lot directing traffic while the

the parking lot is under construction.


Required skills:

SMILE - GREET - OBSERVE - REPORT


Every volunteer will have a hand-held radio in order to communicate

between parking lots and also report any abnormal/suspicious

If you would like to help feed our neighbors, we are currently short of the following items:

LIFE CARE GROUPS

SUPPORT GROUPS FOR AREAS OF LIFE


Our groups are open to adults in our community who are experiencing daily challenges.


  • Alzheimer's Support Group & Kaleidoscope - meets the second Thursday of each month at 1:00pm.
  • Cancer Support Group - meets the second Tuesday of each month
  • Caring Hearts/Stephen Ministers - offer compassionate and confidential prayer, support, and encouragement
