In 2023, a $10,000 contribution from the Pelican Sound Charitable Foundation funded SHOES FOR CHILDREN. The mission of Laces of Love is to provide new shoes, especially sneakers, to low income and disadvantaged children in Lee and Collier counties. Shoes are provided through a partnership with local schools and are purchased at a considerable discount from local sources that also partner with the organization.
DONOR TESTIMONIAL:
Why do you contribute to the Pelican Sound Charitable Foundation?
“I chose to support the Pelican Sound Charitable Foundation because my donation goes to causes based locally. Dollars are awarded specifically for an item or charity. Our Foundation allows follow-up to ensure that each gift was used exactly as the charity promised. That follow-up step is unique to foundations and important to me.”Pelican Sound Resident Pat Weiss
