The Dickinson Research Extension Center team is evolving. Our Extension cropping systems specialist, Ryan Buetow has resigned from his position. Ryan has moved closer to where he grew up and is serving as the State Agronomist for the Natural Resources Conservation Service in St. Paul Minnesota.

Ryan has been active with many outreach and research programs that have included soil acidity management, sunflower survey, western soybean school, and much more. In his resignation letter Ryan said, “It is difficult to pick a favorite part of the job, working with youth, collaborating with agents and specialist, and visiting with farmer have all been great bonuses of this role.”

We are sad to see Ryan go as he has lead an impactful program that has helped many farmers in southwest North Dakota and wish him the best. After planting has subsided, we will start the process to refill this important position. In the meantime, we are still here to help you with your agronomy needs.
If you have any questions, please call our office at 701-456-1100.
