Seasonal Public Works Employees:

Lower Gwynedd Township is seeking to hire SEASONAL WORKERS for its Public Works Department. Seasonal Workers are expected to perform maintenance and manual labor activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, grass cutting, weed whacking and any other such duties as the job may require. Must have a valid PA Driver’s License.  Grass cutting experience preferred but not required. Employment will be from May until October but is flexible. Hours are generally Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM.  Starting pay $21-$25 per hour depending on experience. Applications are available by clicking the link above.  

Traffic Signal Work-Bethlehem Pike & Dager Road

As you may have noticed, Armour has installed the new signal poles at the intersection of Bethlehem Pike and Dager Road in the past few days. The signal equipment will be relocated to the new signal poles next week, which is the week of April 7th. Work is scheduled between 9AM – 2PM so not to disrupt school related traffic.

Dog Ordinance

As spring brings warmer weather, please remember that in Pennsylvania and Lower Gwynedd Township dog laws require dogs to be on leash and under control when in public. When on private property, dogs must be kept on the property and not allowed to run loose.

Wissahickon Creek Clean up

Registration is now open for the 56th Annual Wissahickon Creek Clean Up on Saturday, April 26!

Every spring, hundreds of volunteers fan out across the Wissahickon watershed to clear trash from the creek and its tributaries.

This self-guided event is open to all ages and perfect for individuals, families, scout troops, school groups, and community teams. We’ll bring gloves and trash bags; all you need to bring is your time and willingness to help!
