Lake Ontario Offshore Racing - Happy New Year!

January 2024

Happy New Year!

...and a short review of the year that was and the year coming!

Greetings to all LOOR Racers,

The weather has turned (kind of) cold, and all the boats are hauled out for a long winters nap, but we have a lot to be thankful for for the past race season. We were finally able to have a COVID free race season that started with the return of the Toronto International Boat Show in January. We were there at our LOOR booth at TIBS and it was great to see everyone drop by to chat about racing and excited about the upcoming season. We hope to see you there again this year.

The racing was excellent in 2023 with a warmer than normal Susan Hood Trophy Race and terrific LO300 and LO600 race with the typical varied winds and weather. The Short-Handed Races had great weather too, and all were completed.

As we head into 2024 the upcoming season looks even better as we're seeing the return of the LOSHRS race 2 and 3 going to Youngstown. We're also very pleased that driveHG is returning as our LOOR sponsor for 2024, their support for all our events has been amazing over the years.

All of us at the Lake Ontario Offshore Racing Organizing Authority would

like to wish all of you a Happy New Year and a great 2024.

We hope you enjoyed the holidays. Stay safe and get ready for an exciting and challenging 2024 race season.

Fair winds to all.
