Dear Colleagues,
Happy Black History Month! As we progress through Winter Quarter, I’d like to share some opportunities for faculty and staff to participate in upcoming events.
The term started off strong when we hosted our “What’s The Tea? Meet & Greet” on January 20, providing an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to commune while learning about current and new initiatives happening in CoE-DEI.
Through the remainder of the academic year, our "Real Talk Thursdays" program will provide a space for students to have candid conversations about things going on in our community, be they at Drexel, in Philly or around the globe. Last Thursday, we had four Black alumni join us for a panel discussion, sharing their journeys and providing pearls of wisdom to our students to help them move forward through their college studies. We invite our faculty and staff join us at our next Real Talk discussion on Thursday, February 16, and please mark your calendars for the following events!
- Real Talk Thursday (Thursday, April 13), Center for Black Culture, Rush Building 1st Floor
- Spring welcome event (Friday, April 21), location TBA
- Real Talk Thursday (Thursday, April 27), Center for Black Culture, Rush Building 1st Floor
- Real Talk Thursday (Thursday, May 11), Hill Conference Room, LeBow 240

Join Our Outreach Efforts!
The College of Engineering Undergraduate Recruitment team would like to thank you for your participation in our outreach efforts this past fall term. Your attendance at open houses, assistance during on-campus student visits, and willingness to host one-on-one virtual meetings with families demonstrates that we all have a part in enrolling future engineers.
This winter and spring term, we invite you to join us on the road. We are actively visiting high schools, two-year colleges, and community organizations. We are always looking for faculty members to give career presentations, demonstrate their research, or provide hands-on activities to prospective students either on-campus or at local high schools. If you are interested in being added to our list of potential volunteers, please reach out to Michele Diehl, Director of Undergraduate Recruitment and Engagement, at mad527@drexel.edu.
