- 3.000 Cumulative GPA or higher
- Declared in a major at UConn Hartford or minor in Public Policy
- Faculty or advisor nomination letter

Application Requirements:
- Must be a current UConn Hartford undergraduate student
- Must be a First-generation college student
- First-generation is defined as "your parent(s) did not complete a 4-year college or university degree, regardless of other family members' level of education
- Completed at least one semester at UConn Hartford
- Taking 50% of this semester's classes or credits at UConn Hartford
- 2.500 Cumulative GPA or higher
- Completion of an application essay

2025-2026 Scholarships
The application is for the 2025-26 academic year and is open to all undergraduate students in the School of Business. School of business students only need to submit the form once to be considered for all available scholarships offered by the School of Business.
The application will close on Sunday, April 20th, and decisions will go out by the end of May 2025.

Students enrolled in BADM 4895-701: BUILD HARTFORD will attend a weekly 3-credit course to engage with local entrepreneurs, established business owners, and industry experts, delivering compelling business stories that capture and highlight the best of what Hartford has to offer. Students will explore Hartford's rich history and its evolving business ecosystems, particularly within hotels, restaurants, and food service businesses — gaining valuable insights into what drives success and how to share those stories effectively.
By collaborating with peers and local businesses, students will develop skills in storytelling and digital media. Students will learn how to craft authentic and engaging narratives that not only showcase the unique flavors and experiences of Hartford’s hospitality industry, but also highlight the resilience and innovation of its business community.
This course is open to all students, undergraduates and graduates on any campus.
*Please note that although the course is listed as "non-business of junior or higher standing," the course is open to ALL students. If you do not fall under the specification, contact michaela.hartl@uconn.edu for a permission number.*

BUSN 1801-701: Contemporary Issues in the World of Business is a 2-credit course designed for sophomores and juniors, providing the essential toolkit to succeed in today's ever-evolving business landscape. This course goes beyond theory, offering hands-on, practical training to prepare you for both academic and professional success.
Explore real-world business challenges and develop crucial skills in professional writing, impactful public speaking, and meaningful mentorship engagement. Through engaging in-class activities, realistic industry scenarios, and collaborative projects, you'll gain valuable insights into current business trends, industry awareness, and local workforce development – all while building a strong foundation for future leadership.
