Preservation Month

People Saving Places: Allison Sheridan

Allison Sheridan and Chris Conklin in front of the Farm House Museum

Allison Sheridan is not only the Farm House Museum curator, she's also a donor. After her parents passed away, she realized she needed to have a plan for her own estate in case something were to happen to her. Working with a lawyer, Allison and her husband Chris Conklin created a plan for estate giving as part of their wills. Part of this plan includes giving to University Museums, which helps the Farm House Museum.

Click here to read Allison's story in an article by the ISU Foundation.

Throughout the month of May, celebrate Preservation Month: People Saving Places by recognizing those doing the great work of saving places and inspiring others to do the same. Access resources from the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Memorial Day Weekend Closures
