Only 7% of children in Thailand wear motorcycle helmets. There are 3,000 deaths per year, or about two per hour. Janaya took this picture the other day while waiting at a traffic light.

In April while I was in the States, Kelly and our iServe team were invited during Thai New Year's to distribute 40 motorcycle helmets and Bibles at a police check point near Chiang Mai. Attending the event was a popular blogger and Northern Thai singer, who was invited by the police to promote road safety. He made a video blog and Kelly is in it. This video went out to 200,000 people throughout Thailand. Please view the fun video below.

In March, we distributed 15 helmets and Bibles to the staff at Hope Home, established to assist children with disabilities. Our friend, Becca (next to Kelly), works there.

In the above picture, our colleague, Dong, distributes a helmet and Bible to an impoverished lady who's caring for her disabled son. She couldn't afford a helmet and we wanted to bless her with a new one. Dong is sharing the Gospel with her.

We distributed two helmets and Bibles to these 14-year-old girls. Please pray that both Nattinee and Atitaya will become followers of Jesus.

We presented motorcycle helmets and Bibles to two Shan teenagers living nearby who we've known for several years. They're Buddhist and have heard the Gospel, but at this point, they haven't really shown an interest in becoming followers of Jesus. This is quite typical in Thailand, where thousands have heard the Gospel, but have no interest in committing their life to Christ. Please pray that Sangsoi (above left), her mother (center), and her brother and father would change their hearts and give their lives to Jesus.

I recently returned from a six-week trip to the States. I was able to travel to Jacksonville, FL and reconnect with Josiah (after spending six years in the Navy), and his wife, Kaitlin. I also spent time with our John and other extended family. Please keep Josiah, Kaitlin, and John in your prayers. I was also able to connect with some supporters and promote our new project Rhythms in Motion (RIM). Traveling with seven table runners to give to different people was one of the highlights of the trip. We're making progress with RIM!

Thank you again for your support and generosity. We rely 100% on your support to conduct our ministry. If you haven't yet teamed up with us, we invite you to prayerfully consider supporting us on a regular basis. More exciting things are happening, which we'll report in our next update. Together, we can make a difference! Stay tuned!

In His Grace, For His Glory,

Joel, Kelly, and Janaya
