Special Needs Financial Planning 

from a Legal Perspective

 

This presentation will educate individuals with a special needs child on chosing the right trust for their family from a financial and legal perspective.  It is essential to be aware of the different trusts available and how each can affect the disabled peson's government-sponsored benefits.  Become informed so that you can set up a secure future for your special needs family member.

Michele Miller,  Financial Advisor, J.D.

Michele Miller is a Vice President and Senior Trust Advisor at Northern Trust.  Michele specializes in advising clients on estate planning, special needs planning, wealth transfer and transfer tax saving techniques, and trust administration.  Prior to joining Northern Trust, Michele was an attorney in private practice in Minnesota, specializing in estate and  transfer tax planning, special needs planning, and trust and estate administration, and non-profit matters.  She has in-depth knowledge of estate planning tools and techniques at all levels of complexity.  Michele earned her B.A. in organizational behavior summa cum laude from the College of St. Scholastica, Duluth, Minnesota, and her J.D. magna cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota.
