Greetings SkyHawks!

I hope that you had a great weekend!

  • Congratulations to Ms. Browne, our Musical Director, and all of the students who put on our Spring musical “Little Shop of Horrors” over the weekend! It was a great show and I hope that you were able to attend. In fact, it was so popular that we had to add a matinee on Saturday. Encore!

  • Congratulations to our Choir, Orchestra, Concert Band, and Winter Ensemble who all received Superior ratings at their musical festival this past week. Way to soar!

  • Tuesday is “Math Pi Day”. It's been an official national holiday since 2009. March 14th marks Pi Day, an annual celebration of the mathematical sign pi. Founded in 1988 by physicist Larry Shaw, March 14 was selected because the numerical date (3.14) represents the first three digits of pi, and it also happens to be Albert Einstein's birthday. We will be celebrating with pie contests during both lunches! Math has never tasted so good!

  • Summer School applications will be available once we return from Spring Break. Summer School will run from June 1st through June 30th. June 19th is a holiday and there will be no school on that date. Hours are 8:00 AM until 2:35 PM. English, Math, Biology, World History, US American Government, Econ and APEX will be offered.

  • Looking ahead, please mark your calendars for our Spring Break, no school, starting Monday, March 20th, through Friday, March 24th.

Thank you for keeping Summit soaring!

Keep soaring SkyHawks!

  • On that same note, parents, if you’re facing challenges with your student and want to speak with an administrator or counselor, please don’t hesitate to contact us. As always, we are here to support you and to work with you to give your student the very best education possible. Often times it is easier to reach someone via their email, so at the end of this email there is an email list for your quick reference.

  • Looking ahead, please mark your calendars for our Spring Break, no school, starting Monday, March 20th, through Friday, March 24th.

  • Another reminder is that our Daily Bulletin is on our website. This is another great source of information to see what is going on here at Summit.
