Parish Professionals February 2025 Meeting
On Thursday, January 16, 2025 we will gather for our next Parish Professional meeting. This time, we will meet at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 310 E Main St. East Dundee, IL 60118. Let’s plan to gather from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
We will begin working through discussion questions covering pages 61-99 of The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry. David and Alex will also share updates on the Youth Gathering.

Communicators & Admission Directors February 2025 Meeting
Please join us for our next NID Communicators and Admission Directors Group gathering! This will be a Zoom meeting, Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Topic: Ronda Swingle will lead our time on General Marketing Best Practices. Ronda is a Graphic Designer with over 30 years of experience. She has locally assisted Cross Lutheran Church, Yorkville with marketing their last 2 capital campaigns, helped Faith Lutheran Church, Lake Forest with their Faith on the Fairway promotions for the last 2 years, created a logo for St. Matthew, Lemont's 150 year anniversary, and most recently redesigned Voice of Care's logo (to be unveiled very soon).

Open Hearings - 61st Convention of the Northern Illinois District of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod
Open hearings will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1165 S. Westmore Meyers Rd, Lombard, IL 60148.
The purpose of the open hearings is to become familiar with the convention resolutions and give feedback to our Floor Committees as we strive to be the Church.

We want to let you know the dates for SHINE! 2025 are scheduled for Friday, April 4, 2025 through Sunday, April 13, 2025. It’s not too early to begin planning how your group will serve others in your community!

Save the Date: The Katie Event
The Katie Event is an annual opportunity for LCMS Northern Illinois District pastors' wives and widows to gather for a day of fellowship and learning.
The planning committee for The Katie is currently working toward securing a speaker and determining all of the details of the day. However, we wanted to give you the opportunity to get next year's date on your calendar now.
We hope you will be able to join us on Saturday, October 4, 2025!
If you have never attended The Katie before, please consider it. If you know of other pastors' wives or widows who have not yet attended, encourage them to do so! There will be many more details to come.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration
A Commemoration of Martin Luther King, Jr. "King: The Preacher Remembered" will be held Monday, January 20, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with guest Preacher: Reverend Richard E. Robinson, Pastor, St. John Lutheran Church, Detroit, Michigan. The Commemoration will be held at St. Philip Lutheran Church, 6232 S. Eberhart Avenue, Chicago, IL 60637. Refreshments will be served after. Reverend Elstner Lewis is host pastor.

Christ Academy Confirmation Retreat
Join Concordia Theological Seminary this spring for their semi-annual Christ Academy Confirmation Retreat on their campus February 21–23, 2025. Christ Academy’s tradition is made up of three important elements: confessional catechesis, liturgical worship, and fun life together.
The topic for Spring 2025 is the Ten Commandments, with sessions taught by Dr. Geoffrey Boyle, Assistant Professor of Pastoral Ministry and Missions.
