Chalk Party - This Sunday
Teacher Appreciation Week

Sunday, April 30th
2:00PM - 4:00PM

Mark your calendars for the chalk party hosted by PTA on Sunday, April 30th @ 2pm. We will have chalk available for all kiddos who show up that afternoon. Each teacher is selecting a designated parking spot for teacher appreciation week. Kiddos from each class can decorate their individual teachers’ parking spots and can also leave chalk notes of appreciation on the concrete and blacktop areas outside each classroom. The party will be from 2-4pm.
Teacher Appreciation Week

Watch your kid mail folders for a flyer coming home with details on all the fun activities your PTA has planned for TAW! This year, we will be decorating the teachers' parking spots with sidewalk chalk again like last year, but with a twist! We are holding a PTA fundraiser to help us treat our staff throughout the week and possibly earn a premium parking spot for your teacher!

Contributions will be collected by your class room parent(s) until Tuesday, April 25th. The top three classes who raise the MOST funds for teacher appreciation week will get the chance to gift their teachers a prime parking spot with some extra special flair to be enjoyed for the week! Please reach out to your room parents for more information on how to contribute.

That week, each teacher and staff member will be given a corsage to wear throughout the week. We're also asking each kiddo to bring a small note or picture they can pin to their corsage throughout the week!

If you have any questions, please email TAW@normanrockwellpta.org.
Nominate Someone for the '23-'24 Rockwell PTA Board!

If you or someone you know has a passion for students and the programs that help them succeed, please consider submitting a nomination for a role on Rockwell’s PTA Board. Our Rockwell PTA’s nominating committee is still looking to fill positions before our next General Membership Meeting on June 1st at 7:00 pm (note the new date).

All board and chair positions are open, but we have a specific request for individuals interested in our Co-Treasurer, VP of Communications, VP of Events, VP of Membership, Executive VP, and Chairperson roles for our school events. Please ask us questions about any position. You may be surprised at how flexible and fun being on the Board can be even with a busy schedule! No experience required! Scroll to the bottom of our homepage at www.normanrockwellpta.org to view a full list of PTA Board roles, responsibilities, and time commitments.

If you would like to be part of this team or know someone who would be great, please email our nominating committee. All nominations including self-nominations for any position are welcomed. We have a fabulously dynamic, inclusive, fun, and collaborative team of Moms, Dads, Grandparents, Working Parents, and Work-at-Home Parents teaming up on our Board. We look forward to having you join us!
