Greetings SkyHawks!

Happy last week of School! Our last day is this Thursday. Wow! Where did the time go? Enjoy your Summer!

  • Summer School: Students, for those of you who applied for Summer School, the schedules have been distributed. If there is an error on your schedule, please see your Counselor. If you didn’t receive a Summer School schedule and you think that you should have, please see your Counselor. For any student who would still like to attend Summer School but hasn’t enrolled yet, please see your Counselor to be added to the Waitlist.

  • During Summer School, daily attendance is critically important due to the condensed four-week program. Students will only be permitted two absences. A third absence will result in AN IMMEDIATE DROP FROM THE PROGRAM. No exceptions. Please note that three tardies equal one absence. If students are scheduled for one period, they are only required to attend during that period. For example, if a student is scheduled for Period 1, they would attend from 8:00 to 11:00 AM, have lunch and then go home. If a student is scheduled for Period 2, they may come for lunch at 11:00 AM and then go to class from 11:35 AM until 2:35 PM and then go home.

  • Our last day of school is Thursday, May 25th.

Thank you for keeping Summit soaring!

Keep soaring SkyHawks!

Summit High Calendar

Our Senior Breakfast is Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. $20 with an ASB card or $25 without. No guests, students only. No 12th graders that are on the Senior Fail List will be admitted. Seating is limited, so students by your tickets soon.

Graduation will be this Thursday, May 25th at 3:00 PM at the Toyota Arena. All graduates must have the current cap, gown and tassel given by Jostens this year. Graduates must report by 1:00 PM. Doors will open for spectators between 1:00 and 2:00 PM. No balloons, signs or horns will be allowed. Everyone will be searched per Toyota Arena rules. This includes any packages.

Diplomas will be available after graduation, on May 26th from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM through the student’s Counselor. Only graduates may pick up their diploma. Students, you must have a photo ID with you.

You are REQUIRED to fill out a FINAL TRANSCRIPT RELEASE FORM in order for your transcript to be sent to the college you will be attending in the Fall. Final transcripts will not be mailed until after 6/14/23. There is a process that must occur before the transcripts are ready to mail. If the process is completed prior to the 14th the transcripts will be sent sooner. Please DO NOT request your transcript to be mailed more than one time. The colleges only need one copy and if you request more than one copy it slows down the whole process. Remember the colleges are receiving thousands of transcripts during this time.

Also, be aware that no final transcripts will be mailed to your residence. Colleges ONLY!

This Week in the Counseling Office!

Senior Graduation Survey

Every year, we survey our students to get much-needed information that can be used to help us better serve our future SkyHawks. This survey is required as part of the Senior checkout, so we wanted to get it out to you early so you can get it done early and save time. Please refer to the directions to complete the survey.

  • Please mark your calendars for FUSD’s Summer Meal Program Kick Off on June 2, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Fontana Park (across the street from Summit). There will be community booths, face painting, a farmer’s market and more.

  • On that same note, parents, if you’re facing challenges with your student and want to speak with an administrator or counselor, please don’t hesitate to contact us. As always, we are here to support you and to work with you to give your student the very best education possible. Often times it is easier to reach someone via their email, so at the end of this email there is an email list for your quick reference.

  • Another reminder is that our Daily Bulletin is on our website. This is another great source of information to see what is going on here at Summit.

  • Our school office hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. We are here to support you. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us. If you aren't sure who to contact you can always email Principal Renee Castanon at renee.castanon@fusd.net.

We Tip! Report threats and/or suspected acts of violence against students, staff or school to We Tip. No one will know that you called.
