VBS VOLUNTEER MEETING

Calling all VBS adult volunteers! Please plan to attend this important meeting June 25th at 12pm! We will discuss the VBS schedule, stations, and pick-up and drop-off procedures, and we will be available to answer any questions you have. Pizza and drinks will be provided. CRAFTS WITH COMPANY

July 26, August 23, 6-7pm

Calling all women! Join us for evenings of fellowship and fun, for gals of all ages! We'll share stories while Marilyn Brumley and Beverly Crumbie lead us in a simple craft. This month's project is a creative wooden cross. All materials provided; $10 donation requested. Sign up at the connection center or email trudysmith@aledoumc.org.

ADULT MISSION TRIP - DONATIONS NEEDED!

Later this summer, Aledo UMC will send a team of volunteers to the Mission Center in Conroe to help assemble disaster relief kits. In preparation for the trip, we are collecting the following items:

• Bath towels - new and unwashed
• Washcloths - new and unwashed
• Adult and children's toothbrushes, in original packaging
• 24-count crayons, new
• Single-subject spiral notebooks

MOTHER'S DAY OUT

BELL RINGERS NEEDED!

We need child volunteers to ring the church bells on Sunday mornings at 11am and 12pm. What a fun way for children to serve their church! Sign your child up HERE or contact Teresa for more information.

MEN'S DEVOTIONAL BREAKFAST

Mondays, 7:30am, Chapel



Pastor Joel will be sharing a short devotional with this group. Burritos and coffee will be served. This is an opportunity to meet new people and decompress. The goal is for those not retired, to get back on the road by 8:15, at the latest. A donation of $5 is asked to cover the cost.

WE NEED YOU!

The AUMC safety team is in need of volunteers to be observers at key

entrances and also serve in the parking lot directing traffic while the

the parking lot is under construction.

Required skills:

SMILE - GREET - OBSERVE - REPORT

Every volunteer will have a hand-held radio in order to communicate

between parking lots and also report any abnormal/suspicious

If you would like to help feed our neighbors, we are currently short of the following items:

We are very well stocked with all other items.

SUPPORT GROUPS FOR AREAS OF LIFE

Our groups are open to adults in our community who are experiencing daily challenges.

• Alzheimer's Support Group & Kaleidoscope - meets the second Thursday of each month at 1:00pm.
• Cancer Support Group - meets the second Tuesday of each month
• Caring Hearts/Stephen Ministers - offer compassionate and confidential prayer, support, and encouragement
