Husted Promotes Career Pathways

During In-Demand Jobs Week

Ohio Lt. Governor Jon Husted, Director of the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation, led a statewide tour for In-Demand Jobs Week last week. In-Demand Jobs Week is designed to promote Ohio’s most in-demand and fastest-growing industries through statewide hiring, education, and training events. This year, In-Demand Jobs Week highlighted Ohio’s top jobs that stem from career-focused education and the various paths available to Ohioans as they look for their next opportunity.

Husted Announces TechCred Results for March

May Application Period is Open

Ohio Lt. Governor Jon Husted, who serves as Director of the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation, announced the results of the March round of TechCred, in which 391 employers were approved for funding, providing the opportunity for Ohioans to earn 4,656 tech-focused credentials. This most recent round marks the 19th application period of the program with manufacturing topping the list of industries applying for tech-infused credentials.

As a reminder, the current application period for businesses opened May 1, 2023, and will close May 31, 2023, at 3:00 PM. Apply now at TechCred.Ohio.Gov .
