GEORGIA STUDIES COURSE UPDATE
Join GPB Education as we explore the updated and expanded relaunch of our free comprehensive Georgia Studies collection, including the interactive course and nearly 40 immersive virtual field trips to historical and cultural sites throughout the state. These upgraded resources allow educators to link students directly to specific pages and elements, favorite content, interface with annotation and accessibility extensions, share to Google Classroom, and more! Teacher support material PDFs will be updated in April.

Great news for Georgia educators and students! The GPB Education Mobile VR Lab is now booking engagements for the 2023-24 school year. The GPB Mobile VR Lab has been designed to enhance learning by creating interactive and engaging experiences that are both educational and entertaining. The VR Lab offers a range of experiences that cover a variety of subjects, from science and history to art and culture. With our class set of VR headsets, each student can experience virtual reality firsthand.
 
EXPLAINING TODAY: THE FUTURE OF AMERICA'S PAST EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVE WORKSHOP

American Public Television and GPB Education are offering a summer series of paid workshops for secondary and pre-service teachers. Each workshop uses episodes from the Emmy Award-winning documentary The Future of America’s Past to model how teachers can develop learning resources to increase student media literacy and critical thinking skills through digital humanities projects that feature primary source archival materials. 
UPCOMING LIVE EXPLORATION: GEORGIA POLLINATORS
There's a lot of buzz about our next live exploration! In collaboration with the University of Georgia, GPB Education will be live streaming from the State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens on May 9th at 10 AM ET. During this live 30-minute program, learn about the role pollinators play in our environment, how they impact our state economy, and ways we can help protect these important animals.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, BUDGET

Lights, Camera, Budget! is an online game designed to help secondary students learn, study, and review financial literacy topics while also practicing their budgeting skills. Students are positioned as movie producers who have been given $100 million to produce a movie. They must prove they have good personal finance skills to keep their budget on track.
GEORGIA RACE THROUGH TIME
Georgia Public Broadcasting partnered with the award-winning media developers at FableVision Studios to create the Georgia Race Through Time, a Georgia Studies adventure game that is aligned to Georgia Standards of Excellence for eighth-grade social studies and designed to help students prepare for Milestones testing.
