Greetings Rondout Family, Friends and Faculty.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in Family Reading Night last week. It was a remarkable success with over two hundred people in attendance. Special thanks and acknowledgements go out to Robin Jacob for her leadership and creativity in making this event family friendly, productive and a meaningful way for the families in our school community to come together to celebrate reading and family time. Another big thank you goes out to Maryann Slavin who worked her magic in the kitchen and created a delicious dinner to top off the evening’s fun, games, and fellowship. This will be back next year by popular demand. Look for a date to be added to the 24-25 school year calendar.

Hope to see some of you next week for a Taste of India. Parents are welcome to join us for the Staff and Student Fashion Show on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. and the Dance performances and interactive activities planned for Wednesday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Please be sure to return your child’s permission slip for the Tuesday afternoon “Taste of India” field trips to Indian Markets in the area. Special thanks to Mansi Mehta, Supriya Nithiniyandam, Chaitali Pathak who are the parent volunteers that have been working on the two-day event with us along with Happi Datt a community member from Lake Forest who has provided guidance, assistance, and resources. Our Global Ambassadors Village Department has also been helpful, and they will play an important role in next week’s activities.

Have a wonderful weekend! Until next time…

The Public Works Village Department is sponsoring the USAgain “Tree Machine”. They will plant a tree for every filled "Tree Machine". We will be able to keep track of our progress on an individual dashboard which will calculate the impact of our donations.  The collection bin is at the northwest corner of the staff parking lot. Please do not leave items outside of the bin and honor the collection guidelines. Thank you in advance for supporting the efforts of our students to support the future of our planet.
