Daily Lenten Offering

I know, O Holy One, that your judgements are right, and that in faithfulness you have humbled me. Let your steadfast love become my comfort according to your promise to your servant. Let your mercy come to me, that I may live; for your law is my delight.

Psalm 119:75-77

Holy God, I am eager for your mercy, yet sometimes less than enthusiastic about the obligations of your law. Hem me in, behind and before, that I may not stray from your ways. Kindle in me a delight to love and be loved, to receive mercy and to be merciful. Amen.

The journey of faith discovery is not an internal inquiry alone. We learn when we listen to the stories, wisdom, and questions of others. Ask a family member, a neighbor, or (if you’re brave) a stranger:

  • What is your comfort food? What meal or snack helps soothe your soul
  • Would you like to join me in helping out (or buying groceries) for the “Pot o’ Gold” food drive?

Plymouth Church members will gather at the front entrances of Stop & Shop and encourage shoppers to purchase items we’ll be collecting for local food pantries (Daniel’s Table, A Place to Turn).

Sign up to participate at Coffee Hour or email alrapoza@yahoo.com. Encourage family and friends to participate, either by helping out or by donating some of the requested items.
