2020 Vision is Temple Emanu-El’s MASSIVE renovation project and we have made a HUGE amount of progress in the last several months. It is just FABULOUS- like night and day compared to our old look.

On the night of the festival of Shavuot (the first night of Shavuot in the diaspora), it is traditional for Jews to stay up and learn Torah – a centuries-old custom known as Tikkun Leil Shavuot. We invite you to spend this evening with us as we hold a Torah study and discuss different passages, and how they apply to our daily lives.

Our next meeting of the Book Club will be on Sunday, June 4th at 7:00PM We will be discussing the book Six Days of War by Michael Oren. In this book, the author discusses the background, the leadup, the events and the aftermath of the 6-Day War in 1967. Mr. Oren describes the events from the perspective the Israelis, the Arabs and the Western and Soviet leaders who were all involved in some way in the war.

We are excited to announce that the CHAIM exhibit now a temporary home at Temple Emanu-El.

The purpose of CHAIM is to teach about tolerance and empathy through the lens of the Holocaust. The CHAIM exhibit is appropriate for Jewish kids 5th grade and up, and non-Jews kids 7th and up. This is an important topic for our times.
