2023-24 Student Projections Off the Charts

This doesn't tell the whole story. These projections are as of November 13th.

Classroom AKA Fundamentals is still actively registering programs. JA Inspire just started to register schools for the virtual program. STEM, YES!, and JA BizTown are almost maxed out, and PRE-K is just getting started. We still have room for more REAL Life days, but not many. We may be headed for a record year!

Come Join Us!

We'd love to have you join us to see one (or more) of our programs. It's a great opportunity to see how we are creating sparks for students in financial literacy, career readiness and entrepreneurship. Volunteers are a huge reason our programs are so successful. Come see them in action. Pick a school/program/date and we will take care of the rest. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Kudos for JA of SCPA

A few great comments we recently received from schools and volunteers:

  • Volunteer/REAL Life Program: I signed up for a few of these right around when I first started. I was not exactly sure what I was signing up for, but today was my first one and it was awesome. I was on the Budget Builder team collaborating with 2 separate groups of High School juniors working through a detailed monthly budget. Junior Achievement does an amazing job preparing for this with real life scenarios for each student, including credit score, marital status, children or none, profession, income etc.... They calculate their net monthly income including 401K and additional savings. It is a couple of hours with each group and allows for conversation and insight around financial literacy. I worked with a great group of students, some of them were a little reserved at first, but by about 20 minutes in they were very engaged, JA really does a wonderful job designing this course in a way that gets the students interested and making it very doable for the volunteer.

  • Educator/YES! Program: The best overall impact (of YES!) to me is the encouragement for students to think of the world of work and life outside of high school.

  • Educator/STEM Summit: The STEM Summit is an excellent opportunity for our students to expand their awareness and understanding of potential STEM-related careers and to engage in hands-on activities that are not only educational but enable them to collaborate with their peers in task-oriented projects. We greatly appreciate Junior Achievement and all of the corporate sponsors and volunteers who make this opportunity possible for our students each year!
