Dear Melisa,

The Vascular Division from the University of Utah's Department of Neurology wants to share with you what's new in the clinic, their labs, and the community.

We hope that these updates will help you get to know your doctor better and help you find the resources you need.

May Is National Stroke Awareness Month

Every 40 seconds, someone in the US has a stroke.

It could happen on your street, in your workplace, at a store where you shop—anywhere.

Your readiness to spot the stroke warning signs and call 911 could save a life or make the difference between a full recovery and long-term disability.

That’s why it’s so important to learn the stroke warning signs and urge everyone you know to do the same.

The University of Utah Department of Neurology occasionally holds educational events for our community to learn straight from our neurologists.
