BIOGRAPHIES

Agnes Dasewicz

Chief Operating Officer, US International Development Finance Corporation


Agnes Dasewicz is DFC’s Chief Operating Officer. In this role, she manages agency policies, oversees business operations, and coordinates strategy and priorities for DFC. Previously, Ms. Dasewicz served as the CEO of Small Enterprise Assistance Funds (SEAF), a leader in investing in emerging and frontier markets for over 30 years. SEAF invests in local entrepreneurs with a focus on climate change, food security, and inclusion. Prior to joining SEAF, Ms. Dasewicz served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Kauffman Foundation, where she led the Capital Access Lab, a new initiative to bring support and capital to diverse, innovative fund managers throughout the U.S. She was also a Fellow at the Rockefeller Foundation, where she developed new models for private and public investors to support local businesses and create economic growth in underserved neighborhoods. As Director at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Ms. Dasewicz was behind some of the most significant accomplishments in development finance: the launch of Power Africa and the establishment of the Office of Private Capital at USAID. Earlier in her career, she was a manager at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), worked for AIG Private Equity executing transactions in Eastern Europe, and co-founded an impact investing fund, the Grassroots Business Fund.


Erika Highland

Partner, Gladstone Investment Partners


Erika Highland joined Gladstone in August 2005. She currently serves as a Managing Director of Gladstone Investment Corporation. Prior to joining Gladstone, she was an Account Executive at Wells Fargo Retail Finance where she was responsible for monitoring and underwriting senior secured loans to national and regional retail chains. Before joining Wells Fargo, she was a financial Analyst in A.G. Edwards’ Investment Banking Division focusing on capital raising and M&A transactions for middle market companies. Ms. Highland holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Boston College.


Mandi Wedin

As Founder and CEO of Feroce Real Estate Advisors, Mandi works with forward thinking companies to position their real estate and team to succeed during times of disruption. Mandi brings the relevant skillset required to successfully navigate the shifting landscape of commercial real estate investment, ESG+R, and technology. With 20 years of experience running billion-dollar real estate portfolios, Mandi delivers results to investors by leading change and creating value out of change. Her experience across multiple asset classes and multiple markets spanning the life cycle of sustainable real estate investments provides a competitive advantage for her clients. As a leader at a public REIT, WashREIT (NYSE: WRE) and at private equity real estate investment firms, ASB Real Estate Investments and Kennedy Associates Real Estate Counsel, she built and led high-performing and diverse investment management teams while providing hundreds of millions of dollars in sustainable, reliable value to investors and customers.


Jyotsna Sharma

Vice President of Finance, Black Dragon Capital


Jyotsna Sharma is the Vice President of Finance, focused on BDC’s investments analysis, investment structures, due diligence, execution and closing, and fund level performance reporting Ms. Sharma has over 14 years of global experience leading investment portfolios and teams in the US, Middle East, and Asia in public and private sectors. She has had a wide range of responsibilities in private equity investment processes including leading sourcing, investment mandates, portfolio management, acquisitions and dispositions, financial analysis, due diligence, and fund raising. Prior to Black Dragon, Ms. Sharma served as an Associate Director with the Fairfax County Government, where she successfully led several major investment mandates. Prior to Fairfax County, she served as a Director with Meraas Holding, where she participated in investment mandates focused on economic development of Dubai and United Arab Emirates within the real estate, infrastructure, and technology sectors. She also held an Assistant Vice President position with Wells Fargo Advisors in the United States. Ms. Sharma earned her MBA from Columbia Business School and London Business School’s joint program, and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering from Punjab Technical University in India. In addition, she is a Certified M&A Advisor (CM&AA), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and a Certified Global Sanctions Specialist (CGGS).
