Mental Heath & Wellness Advisory Committee

The MH&W Advisory Committee will actively guide, advocate, and support mental health programs and initiatives within SMUHSD by leveraging diverse perspectives and expertise. Its role involves advising on program goals, reviewing outcomes, and making recommendations to the SMUHSD Board of Trustees. We hope to examine and gain feedback regarding effective programs and resources, fostering a supportive environment for students, families, staff, and the school community.
The committee will have from 10 to 20 individuals. We aim to have a broad representation, including students, parents, teachers, school counselors, administrators, school board members, business representatives, and community members, reflecting the community's values, concerns, and interests. The committee meets one Monday monthly for 1-½ hours from 5:00 to 6:30 PM. Meetings will alternate between in-person and Zoom sessions.
Mental Health & Wellness Advisory Committee Meetings (5:00-6:30pm):

Mills Annual Fund Appeal

Thank you to everyone who has helped make a dent in our Annual Fund goal. We still need to raise a little over $100,000 by the end of March, when our school district makes decisions on funding and roles for the upcoming year. We are asking every financially-able family to donate the suggested amount of $500…but we will take ANY and ALL donations. Also, don’t forget to ask your employer for a corporate match (that’s FREE money!). Please help us reach a goal that benefits ALL our students.
