Finals Week Tips & Strategies

Finals can often be a significant source of anxiety, even amongst generally relaxed and confident students. However, exams don’t need to consume your entire life or create restless nights for the last couple weeks of the semester.

Extended Library Hours for Finals

The Michael Schwartz Library will have extended hours for finals week. They will be open the following hours:

Sunday, May 7: 12:00 noon - 8:00 p.m.

Monday - Thursday, May 8 - 11: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Friday, May 12: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

New Organization Registration Now Open!

Students wishing to register a new organization for recognition for fall 2023 can now register! Recognized student organizations must have the following:

Four officers (President, Vice President, Secretary & Treasurer)
Full-time faculty or staff advisor
Constitution

All student officer must be in good academic standing and registered for at least 6 credit hours in a degree-seeking program.

Spring 2023 Commencement

Spring 2023 Commencement will feature two ceremonies for our undergraduates and graduates on Saturday, May 13 at the Wolstein Center and a special Ceremony for Doctoral Graduates on Friday, May 12 at the Waetjen Auditorium. The ceremonies will be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person. Livestream information will be posted a week before the event.

While this is a joyous occasion, graduates and their guests are expected to be respectful of their fellow graduates and the solemnity of the occasion by staying for the entire ceremony. Please plan your day and any post-ceremony celebrations accordingly!
