THE BOY THAT CRIED WOLF
_______________________
If you were read any children’s stories, you probably heard the story of “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.” It goes like this: A boy was watching a flock of sheep and thought he would pull a prank on his village. He cried “wolf,” and the village came running to help him. When they got there and found there was no wolf he laughed, and told them it was just a prank, but the people were not happy with him. He did it a second time, and the village came running to help him, but once again found no wolf. This time they told him that they would not come again because they were tired of his pranks. Shortly after this a real wolf came and was trying to eat the sheep. The boy cried “wolf, wolf.”
Because the boy had lied twice and pulled this prank on them, no one came to help him because they thought it was just a prank again. Sadly, it was not a prank, and the wolf ate the sheep. His lies cost him the trust of the people, and his lies cost him the life of his sheep.
I was thinking about this story and the Lord gave me this revelation. Many are in the pulpit these days and ministering on social media saying that everything is going to be fine. They are saying that America will be once again a great nation, and are not preparing the people, their sheep, for hard times. They are not preaching what the bible says about end times, and repentance. They are not telling their “flock” the truth about what is coming on America and the world.
These leaders are not feeding the sheep God’s word by preparing the sheep and telling them to watch out for wolves, because they are the wolves. They are hirelings who do not care about teaching the truth. They do not care if the sheep are destroyed because they are only their to “fleece the sheep” through their non-biblical, sugar-coated teachings, and greed.
These leaders are the wolves in sheep’s clothing concealing the truth, thus blinding the eyes of the innocent ones. They are worse than the boy that cried “wolf” because they are only concerned about themselves and not serving God.
In spite of these “wolves,” God has a remnant of faithful shepherds that are willing to tell the truth if the sheep will listen. Sadly, most do not want to hear the truth. They want to stay in their comfort zone, eating as much tainted grass as they can, not realizing it is poisoned.
Let us always be determined to be ambassadors of truth even if we walk alone. It is better to walk alone in truth and please God, than go with the “flock” that is being fleeced.
