Meet Jodi McKey,

the Foundation's New Office Manager

The Foundation recently welcomed Jodi McKey as its new office manager!


Jodi brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, having honed her organizational skills in bustling settings like the Louisiana Conference's Disaster Relief area and the Baton Rouge District Office of the United Methodist Church.


Beyond her professional skills, Jodi is a dedicated family woman. With two grown daughters and five grandchildren keeping her on her toes, she knows a thing or two about juggling priorities and keeping things running smoothly.


As a longstanding member of the Methodist denomination, Jodi shares our values of service and connection.



We're confident that Jodi will be an invaluable asset to the Foundation, ensuring our office hums efficiently. Please join us in welcoming Jodi aboard!

  • Explore the theology of and the current necessity for ministry innovation,
  • Learn about examples of such efforts,
  • Engage in idea-shaping exercises, and
  • Leave with ample information about grant writing and the resources available within our Foundation, the Louisiana Conference and our regions.

7 Trends Impacting Church Leadership in 2024

The staff of the Lewis Center identifies seven trends church leaders should keep in mind as they develop creative ministries to reach new people in 2024.


Many of these trends are daunting, reflecting the long-term decline in worship attendance and the increasing percentage of Americans who claim no religious affiliation.


But there are also glimmers of hope in giving trends, in the emergence of new, more nimble, often smaller, models of ministry, and in the expanding opportunities for laypersons to minister in meaningful ways.
