Isabelle - who not only writes fantastic Haiku Poetry but also steps in to make our workspace more beautiful.

Alex - who has donated to help support programs and services and CanLearn.

Liam - has stepped in over the years to help in many ways, most recently with our library.

Beemnet - one of our newest volunteers, is helping Raegan with communications and social media at CanLearn.

Carolyn - has been around CanLearn for some time, and we are so lucky to have her helping with the library.

Thank you to all of you!

New Blog!

Parents Helping Their Children Learn to Read

Early literacy programs at CanLearn aim to help parents understand what children need to learn to read. The better parents understand the reading process, the more they want to be involved in their children's early literacy development. Parent involvement can be vital to a child's success with and enjoyment of reading.

World Book Day 2023

World Book and Copyright Day is a celebration to promote the enjoyment of books and reading. Each year, on 23 April, celebrations take place worldwide to recognize the scope of books - a link between the past and the future, a bridge between generations and across cultures.

This year's theme is Indigenous Languages and acknowledging various forms of literature, including oral traditions.

What book can you share with us on Facebook or Twitter that honours World Book Day on April 23? We'd love to hear from you!
