IMMACULATA WINS RICO PARENTI-KAYLA SPOONER HOLIDAY CLASSIC

Heading into the new year, the Immaculata Varsity Girls' Basketball team won the Rico Parenti-Kayla Spooner Holiday Classic, held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, in Plainfield, beating the previously undefeated Plainfield team in their home tournament. Named in part for Americo "Rico" Parenti, esteemed basketball coach and father to Immaculata alumni Angelo Parenti '85, Hall of Fame Class of 2011, and Michael Parenti '88, Hall of Fame Class of 2002, the tournament brought together two teams historically coached by the basketball legend, who passed away last March at the age of 90.

PHOTO OF THE MONTH

A familiar face at Immaculata High School for over four decades, beloved cafeteria worker Mrs. Stephanie Pucowski marked 40 years of service in the Immaculata cafeteria on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. Known and remembered by many of our students and graduates as kind and always ready to greet them with a warm smile, she, in turn, has a fondness for the thousands of students she has served over the years and remembers them well.

Mother of Immaculata alumni Michael Pucowski '86 and Michele Pucowski Temples '93, and grandmother of current Immaculata High School student Nicholas Temples, class of 2027, pictured above, and Immaculate Conception School student Christopher Temples, class of 2024, Stephanie is highly regarded by generations of Spartans, past and present. We are grateful for her continued vocation to the school and congratulate her on this remarkable milestone of service!
