JANUARY 2025
MIDDLE SCHOOL EYC - Returning Monday, January 13, at 6:00 PM our middle school students will focus on four areas of our lives that make the biggest impacts: friends, family, faith, and future. Drop off will be under the porte-cochère where you will be greeted by a volunteer.
HIGH SCHOOL EYC - We will begin High School EYC on January 15, 2025 at 6:00 PM on Wednesday's at Ozone Pizza! The month of January we will focus on setting goals for the year and looking at what steps to take to attain those goals. Pizza will be provided!
HIGH SCHOOL PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT - On Monday, January 20, at 5:00 PM, all high school students are invited to play in the Christ Church Pickleball Tournament! Bring a friend and sign up here to play! Please bring your own paddle. Pizza and drinks will be provided. Location: Bayview Park.
WINTER WOODS - Are you ready for summer camp and just don't want to wait until June? Well, you don't have to! Join us for Winter Woods! All of the fun of summer camp (minus some of the water activities...brrr!), but during a winter weekend! Click here to register today! Deadline to register is January 10. Dates are January 17-20.
HAPPENING #62 - Happening is a weekend retreat presented BY teens FOR teens. Through videos, skits, talks, and more, you'll see how God and faith fit in with the flow of high school life. Happening is designed to help youth feel the love of God through community. By the end of the weekend, you'll go home knowing how to continue growing a relationship with God. It’s a weekend full of fun, games, sharing, surprises, and most of all, spiritual renewal and empowerment. Hosted at Camp Beckwith for all 9th-12th grade students from January 31 to February 2.

One of the most significant elements of the weekend is the giving and receiving of caritas. Derived from the Latin word for "love," caritas is the offering of material and spiritual energy for the benefit of others. In the context of Happening, caritas takes the form of letters or cards written to Happeners, helping them feel deeply loved and supported, both during the retreat and throughout their lives. I encourage you to participate by writing a heartfelt note to a participant, whether it’s your son, daughter, friend, or simply an anonymous youth who could use your encouragement. Please keep caritas a surprise! Below is a list of youth from Christ Church who will be attending.

FEBRUARY 2025
BREAKFAST - Starting Sunday, February 2, 2025, breakfast is back! It will be available in the Parish Hall at 9:00 AM and Sunday School will be pushed back to 9:30 AM in the *Undercroft.
MISSION TRIP - There will be a Mission Trip Interest meeting on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 7:45 PM in the new library. Parents, youth, and volunteers are welcome to join! We will discuss possible dates and locations and I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas. The mission trip would be for Summer 2025 for rising 9th-12th grade students.
