Rev. Karen G. Johnston, Ministerial Candidate, with Geoff Duke & Mary Beth McNulty, Worship Associates
“Building a Shared World Together”
With the call to grow, seek, care, and act, what does it look like to build what the poet Naomi Shihab Nye calls “the Shared World?” Inspired by the story of a community orchard offered up by another poet, Ross Gay, how might we incite joy? This service is the second of two as part of our process for calling our next Senior Minister.
Join us for worship in person in the Sanctuary, or online. The livestream link and order of service will be shared at bit.ly/FUUSBWorship, or visit our YouTube channel.
And join us after the service this Sunday at 11:30 a.m. for the Special Congregational Meeting in the Sanctuary or online, followed by Outdoor Coffee Hour in front of the Meeting House.
While at the Meeting House, anyone is welcome to wear a mask. In the spirit of caring for each other, please stay home if you have any cold or flu symptoms. Thank you.

Even if you have not attended before, we would love to hear from you. "Membership" in this council is casual and all are welcome to drop in - with input and ideas to grow the next generation. Join us in person at the Meeting House or click on the link to join by Zoom.
Thank You for a Successful Spring Auction!
Nina Harrington, Spring Auction Committee
The Spring Auction Committee would like to thank everyone who participated in and contributed to FUUSB's successful auction. The auction brought in over $14,600, more than our budgeted goal. A special thanks to everyone who helped with the Live Auction event, especially Rebecca Gurney, who furnished all the delicious food for the event, and Eileen Blackwood who served as Auctioneer Extraordinaire.
An email will be sent letting everyone know what they won and who won their donations. If there are errors, please contact [email protected] and we will remedy any problems.
Signed: Hope Baker-Carr, Rebecca Gurney, Eileen Blackwood, Mark Kuprych, and Nina Harrington.
DRUUMM Public Worship
Zoe Hart, Racial Justice Team
DRUUMM, Diverse Revolutionary Unitarian Universalist Multicultural Ministries, provides support to UUs of color in the form of gatherings and pastoral care. This support is critical to sustaining UUs of color as congregations like ours and our denomination as a whole do the work of becoming more radically welcoming. While most of its work is by and for UUs of color, each May DRUUMM hosts a public worship that all are invited to attend. Please consider attending this year's DRUUMM Public Worship on Thursday, May 11 at 8 p.m. for what I found to be a special and powerful experience. Click here to learn more and register.
