Below are course updates for Summer and Fall 2025 to help with your enrollment planning. Please visit the Program Calendar and Course Catalog for more information.

  • Summer 2:
  • PH204W: Mass Communications has a new name! 204W will now be Human Centered Design in Public Health. This new title aligns with the course focus on human centered design, which has been a primary focus of the course in the past as well. Key skills that students will be able to add to their public health tool box include applying design thinking (e.g., research, synthesis, ideation, prototyping) for generating innovative solutions and its key principles that foster cross-discipline collaboration, systems thinking, and communicating with community partners to drive health equity.
  • Fall 2:
  • PH220DW: Health Policy Advocacy is a new policy selective for HPM Concentration Students and elective option for all students.
  • PH257W: Public Health Preparedness and Public Health Response has moved to Fall 2 (previously in Summer 1) and will have an enhanced focus on climate and health.
  • PH253W: Outbreak Investigations will no longer have an R proficiency requirement. This fall, students will still have the option to complete assignments that involve data analysis using R or have the option to complete assignments that focus on outbreak investigation activities of interdisciplinary team members.
