From your hands.. to My Stuff Bags.. to kids in foster care
Letter from Janeen Holmes, President/CEO, My Stuff Bags

Dear Jessica and Blanket Angels,

Today, some lonely children will be smiling for the first time in a long while, because of you.

Your generous contribution of beautiful blankets is helping the My Stuff Bags Foundation to provide new belongings, comfort and. hope to children rescued from terrible abuse and neglect, and we can’t thank you enough.

We are so grateful that you have chosen to join the My Stuff Bags Foundation in sending a message of concern to the tens of thousands of children in America who enter crisis shelters and foster care with nothing more than the clothes on their backs.

You, our Blanket Angels, provide blankets in Ohio and beyond
These are just a few of the Blanket Angels who provide MVOB blankets for children in foster care in Ohio and all over the U.S., through My Stuff Bags and in many other ways. We are grateful for every one!
While traveling to Ohio from West Virginia, Theresa stopped in to donate 21 blankets. She was inspired to make them by a co-worker who is fostering two boys, ages 5 and 9.
The "Quilting in the Morning Sun" group in Seven Mile, Ohio created 16 MVOB quilts, and group leader Rhonda delivered them to Wayne County, Indiana Family and Child Services early in April.
In January, Trinity Lutheran School in Madison, Nebraska created 20 blankets. Four students delivered the finished blankets to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. School secretary Shelley reported, “This event was a winner from start to finish! We hope to repeat this outreach again in the future!”
Please help us by making a blanket (quilt, knit/crochet or fleece) and giving it to the children in care near you.
Jeanne makes blankets with us in New Mexico, and she stopped at MVOB headquarters as she was visiting her daughters in town.

She picked fleece blanket kits to take with her and make with her grandsons in a hotel room in Boston as her two daughters were running the Boston marathon!

She will donate them in Las Cruces, New Mexico when she returns home.

We are so grateful for Jeanne and for everyone who helps us bring love, comfort and hope to children in foster care in their areas.
Our 2023 goal: Blankets for 35,000 Children in Foster Care

Together we can do it, one blanket at a time!
