Upcoming Christian Education Classes
Join Pastor Blyth for his eight week education class discussing the book, "The New Testament You Never Knew--Exploring the Context, Purpose, and Meaning of the Story of God".
Classes start tomorrow, May 4th from 2:00-3:30 pm and will occur every Thursday afternoon until June 22nd.

The Community Service Ministry Committee at SAKLC, would like to thank you for your generous support of our March 2023 Appeal. With grateful hearts we are proud to announce our Church Community raised $33,522. Every penny will help fund the various charities CSM supports. There will be specific details during the coming weeks and months as we are excited to share with you how the funds will be utilized.

Join SAKLC for Faith and Family Night hosted by the Bradenton Marauders on June 9th at LECOM Park! There will be a worship band pregame, some fun and exciting games with the kids during the game, and also an opportunity post-game to hear from some of our players and staff give their testimonials and what their faith has done to impact them both on and off the field.
WHEN: Friday, June 9th 2023 at 5:30 (gates open); 6:30 (game starts)
Price: $12 per person (Includes ticket to the game, Bradenton Marauders hat, and Pepsi drink voucher)

Early this year, the Council established a standing “Committee on Growth.” This is meant to serve as a standing committee with an on-going commitment to leadership in our church’s growth. The Committee will establish a number of metrics to evaluate the current investments in growth. The Committee will work closely with our new Director of Engagement and Growth, Nina Vannucci. Volunteers are needed to join our Altar Guild in preparing the trays and cup for our celebration of Holy Communion, changing the paraments for each season and holy day, and ensuring a supply of clean communion linens. The larger the team, the lighter the duties are for each member. Training is given, and Pastor Ken works closely with the team and will support you in any way he can. Pastor Ken's Weekly Bible Study |
|
Each week, throughout the year, Pr. Ken leads a Bible study on Wednesday mornings, from 11:00am-noon in-person and via zoom. The class discusses the Scripture texts assigned for the forthcoming Sunday worship services. Pr. Ken shares a calendar month of handouts in advance, so that participants can look ahead, and read the comments of Lutheran scholars prior to each session. Each week there is a good mix of lay people, and retired pastors, with each group brining their unique perspectives on life and Scripture – it’s a fun group! In-Person & Zoom Exercise Classes |

Exercise classes instructed by Heather Koester are both in-person and on zoom! Join us for the last in-person class in Ogram Hall for the season on May 8th at 10:15 am. Join us on Zoom on Mondays and Thursdays at 10:15am starting May 11th for classes.
A limited supply of weights & bands are available at SAKLC. If you prefer, you may bring your own equipment. Please bring your own mat for floor exercises.
