Gymnastics Earns 20th Consecutive Championship

The unprecedented success of the BBHHS Gymnastics program now stretches across two decades, as the Bees won their 20th consecutive and 23rd overall OHSAA Team Gymnastics title at the 2023 OHSAA State Gymnastics Tournament on Friday, March 3 rd. With a team score of 148.825, the third highest in OHSAA state tournament history, the Bees edged out Delaware Olentangy Berlin High School to claim the title in a tightly contested competition. Gymnasts competing in the team competition were: Emily Gromek, Rachel Kelly, Gianna Ravagnani, Jeanne Winzen, Avery Butler, Leah Haverdill, Ella Shaheen, Abby Henning, and Delaney Evans.


During the individual competition, sophomore Gianna Ravagnani competed in all four events and earned the designation of State Champion as she finished 1st in the Vault event, 9th place in the Beam event, 4th place in the floor exercise, and 8th place in the All-Around event. Several other Bees finished in the top ten for the Vault event, including Emily Gromek (7th place) and Rachel Kelly (tied for 8th ). Rachel Kelly also finished tied for 9th in the Floor Exercise event. Jeanne Winzen and Avery Butler also competed for the Bees in the individual competition.


Congratulations to the Bees Gymnastics team members and coaching staff for their 2023 OHSAA state title and for continuing the program’s legacy of excellence!

Twelve Bees Qualify for OHSAA State Wrestling Championship

Congratulations to Coach Todd Haverdill and our wrestling program for setting a school record by qualifying twelve wrestlers for this year's state championship tournament in Columbus. The Bees will be well-represented as they set out to achieve a team title. Qualifying athletes Anna Madi, Rylan Seacrist, Brock Herman, Luke Vanadia, Max Vanadia, Kaden Jett, Jace Jett, Evan Rizzo, Brett Stanley, Chase Pluhar, David Zambounis, Riley McPherson, and Caden Pluhar were honored with a State Sendoff on Thursday afternoon as they were led through the halls of BBHHS by the Marching Bees.


This coming Thursday, March 16th, we will recognize all of our Conference Champions, State Qualifiers, State Placers, and State Champions with a pep rally at BBHHS and a parade of State Champions to the middle and elementary schools. The amazing accomplishments of our BBHHS students always punctuate the end of winter!

College Credit Plus Intent to Participate Deadline is April 1st

Any BBHHS student who wishes to participate in the College Credit Plus (CCP) program for the 2023-2024 school year needs to submit the intent to participate  by April 1st. The following link can be used to access the Guidance Department  CCP page which includes all required documents and guided tutorials on how to successfully complete the CCP registration process.  Also available is a recording of the Jan. 30th informational meeting, the student guide, intent to participate form, textbook form, and additional other relevant information regarding the CCP program.


If you have any questions, please see your assigned school counselor as soon as possible. Those students who do not complete the intent to participate by April 1st will not be permitted to participate in the CCP program for the 2023-2024 school year.

Final Reminder: Parent Teacher Conference Registration

Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School will host our second evening of Parent Teacher Conferences on the evening of Thursday, March 16th. We will again offer both virtual and in-person meeting options for families wishing to meet with BBHHS staff regarding their child's academic progress. Please be aware that the registration link will close on Tuesday evening.


Parent conference meetings are scheduled to be 15 minutes in length for both virtual and in-person meetings. Virtual meetings will take place from 4:00-5:30 p.m., and in-person meetings will be held from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Drop-ins will be permitted from 6:30-7:00 p.m. It is strongly recommended that you make an appointment if wishing to meet with a specific teacher and check their availability before dropping in.

BBHHS PSO Senior Yard Sign Sale

Senior Families!
