Get Ready--July 4-17, 2024
The NHFC Board and is excited to announce the long-awaited South Africa Concert Tour for 2024, under the music direction of Dan Perkins!
Continuing our partnership with Rick and Wanda of Plymouth travel, the tour will begin in Johannesburg and end in Cape Town. There are a variety of opportunities for performances in several places, including a collaborative concert in George at the Uniting Reformed Church.
The Main Tour will include traveling along the Garden Route, and a two-day visit to Pilanesberg National Park game reserve.
More details about the trip and when registration begins will follow in the coming months. In the mean time, mark your calendars, and spread the word among your singing friends!
Estimated Land Tour Cost: $2850 (based upon ~70 participants)
The estimated group airfare from Boston is $1,600. Participants are free to arrange their own flights, if desired. (In-Africa travel is included in the land cost.)
Tour includes:
- 11 nights accommodations in Superior Class hotels or better plus 2 nights at the Bakubung Lodge in Planesberg National Park.
- 4 formal performances plus extra impromptu singing and service opportunities.
- Daily buffet breakfast, 2 lunches, 8 dinners including welcome dinner and farewell banquet.
- Sightseeing tour of Soweto with local guides.
- Entrance fees to Apartheid Museum, Ostrich Farm, Featherbed Nature Reserve, Table Mt. cable car, Robben Island, Cape Point Nature Reserve & Penguin Colony.
- 2 Open-vehicle game drives in Pilanesberg National Park.
- Domestic flight from Johannesburg to George.
