Want to learn more ways to support the emotional well-being of all families? Missed the first three courses offered?

This course is for you!


The Growing Brain, a ZERO TO THREE curriculum, will be embedded into the early intervention process to consider how to implement shared knowledge and experiences around social and emotional development into practice. Topics covered include relationships, stress, attachment, trauma, temperament and behavior.

AUDIENCE:


Open to all VIRGINIA Part C Early Interventionists.


Participant requirements:

  • Must currently work in Part C Early Intervention in Virginia.
  • Must attend ALL four sessions as an actively engaged member.
  • MAY be asked to present a brief case study to share and discuss with colleagues

PRESENTERS:

Lisa Terry, MS, M.Ed., Infant Mental Health Mentor-Research/Faculty, IMH-E®

Lisa provides support for the design and implementation of professional development activities for early interventionists. She has worked in EI for over 15 years as an educator, service coordinator, clinical supervisor. Lisa hosts the podcast, Meaningful Moments-Connecting IMH to EI. Lisa is a certified trainer in the Growing Brain, a ZERO TO THREE curriculum. She maintains endorsement as an IMH Mentor-Research/Faculty. Lisa is the co-facilitator for DEC's Infant Mental Health Community of Practice and aRPy Ambassador. 

Telisha Woodfin, MSW, CD, CEIM

Telisha supports local early intervention systems in Virginia's Richmond and Tidewater areas by overseeing, analyzing data, and engaging stakeholders. With over ten years in early intervention, she's served as a service coordinator, early intervention assistant, clinical supervisor, acting local system manager, and Monitoring consultant. Telisha holds certifications as a Growing Brain trainer (ZERO TO THREE curriculum), Infant Massage Educator, and Postpartum Doula.
