OUR MICHELIN STAR CHEFS

Our Tween Center students participated in the "Kids in The Kitchen" program sponsored by Greenwich Hospital. Students, under the instruction of a nutritionist and a chef, learned about developing healthy habits, and healthy eating, and even prepared healthy snacks to share with one another. At the end of the session, students were gifted with an amazing "Swag Bag" that included materials such as; cooking utensils, oven mitts, cutting boards, a Junior cookbook, and more! Our "Kids in the Kitchen" really enjoyed themselves, and we look forward to continuing the partnership in the future.
MAY IS ASIAN AMERICAN & PACIFIC ISLANDER HERITAGE MONTH

In honor of AAPI month, Carver Center recognizes two long-time staff members, Sharon Devasia, Director of Systems & Technology, and Josie Monis, one of our Welcome Team representatives. Thank you both for your contributions and achievements to advance our mission to build brighter futures.
THE MAGIC OF ALADDIN

Members of our Teen Scholars program traveled to NYC to see Aladdin, The Musical on Broadway. Our kids were treated to orchestra row seats. For many, this was their first trip to a show and for some, the first time they ever saw the lights on 42nd Street and Broadway. A truly memorable evening. Thanks to @ticketsforkidscharities for helping us provide this enriching experience to our Carver Scholars.

Maureen was recently honored at our annual benefit as our 2023 Sister Rosemary Sheehan Award recipient. This award recognizes her outstanding volunteer efforts and dedication to improving the lives of our community members.

Maureen has been volunteering at Carver for more than 20 years and served as board president from 2014-2018. Well-deserved!
