THE NISOD PAPERS

In the latest The NISOD Papers, "Bytes of Responsibility: Bridges Between Innovation and Integrity," Andrea Arce-Trigatti, Faculty, Tennessee Tech University, Aimee Klaschus, Research Business Analyst, Tennessee Tech University, and Dorota Silber-Furman, Faculty, Tennessee Tech University, offer an introduction of the ethical considerations currently impacting AI integration into higher education. The authors review patterns in policy guidelines that offer insight into how to integrate AI into postsecondary teaching, learning, and administrative tasks.

Monday is the Deadline to Submit Learning Community Applications

We are seeking individuals from NISOD member institutions to serve as facilitators to lead various Learning Communities this fall. Learn more and apply here by March 3.


This is a new opportunity to foster connection and share best practices and innovative ideas on topics related to teaching, learning, and student success. NISOD Learning Communities will be groups of up to 100 participants bringing faculty and staff together at least four times, in virtual meetings tailored by facilitators to meet the group’s goals.

Suanne Davis Roueche Faculty Scholarship Faculty members at NISOD member colleges who would like to attend NISOD’s International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence, but lack the financial means to do so, are encouraged to apply. 

Student Essay Contest Students describe in a 500-word (or less) essay a faculty member, staff member, or administrator who encouraged them to complete a course, finish a semester, or graduate from college and how that encouragement helped them reach their goal(s).*

Student Graphic Design Contest Students design the official Conference Program front cover for NISOD’s 2026 International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence.*

NISOD Excellence Awards NISOD members are invited to submit the names of men and women each year who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment and contribution to their students and colleagues. 


*Only students at NISOD member colleges are eligible to participate.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE

NEW FORMAT! Administrator Series at #NISOD2025

Presentation proposal submissions for the Leading and Governance conference track will be considered for the Administrator Series, held on Monday, May 26. This track focuses on strategic, operational, and student-centered topics critical to institutional success.


Interested in sharing your insights and experience on leadership and governance as an administrator? Submit your presentation proposal by March 21, 2025.
