Medicare Telehealth Flexibilities Update:

Medicare telehealth flexibilities put in place during COVID-19 in March 2020 were extended through 3/31/25 as part of a continuing resolution (CR) to fund the federal government. This current CR runs through 3/14/25 and Congress must act beforehand to allow telehealth flexibilities to remain in place past their 3/31/25 expiration. Current Medicare telehealth flexibilities impact beneficiaries’ telehealth benefits, including patient originating site and geographic location (rurality). Medicare behavioral health visits should not be impacted.
