Theatre departments receive 14 prestigious Buckley Award nominations
Northwest ISD’s three comprehensive high schools – Byron Nelson High School, VR Eaton High School and Northwest High School – combined for 14 nominations in the prestigious Betty Lynn Buckley Awards, one of the top theatre competitions in the state!

Early voting begins April 24
Early voting is almost here! Voting for both the Northwest ISD Board of Trustee elections and the 2023 bond referendum takes place from April 24 to May 2 and on Election Day, May 6. Learn more about where you can vote.
Facebook Live scheduled for April 26
Northwest ISD will host a Facebook Live video chat at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26. Topics to be addressed include the details of the district's 2023 bond referendum, including safety and security initiatives, and an expanded update on the bond proposal.

The video chat will begin with a brief update about news in Northwest ISD before taking audience questions. Northwest ISD’s Facebook Live video chats typically last about 30 minutes.

Online enrollment is now open for the 2023-2024 school year at www.nisdtx.org/enroll!

Families of current students returning next year can enroll their children in a quick, three-step process, and families new to the district can also enroll their children today.
Family survey results now available
Results from the 2023 Northwest ISD Family Survey are now available for viewing online! With responses tied to 4,420 students, the survey shows a strong overall impression of our district, as positive satisfaction scores led all categories and questions, and we look forward to using the results to continuously improve and grow for students and families.
Student-athletes sign national letters of intent
Congratulations to 31 student-athletes from Byron Nelson High School, Eaton High School and Northwest High School, who took part in National Signing Day ceremonies today, signifying their intent to play collegiate sports and continue their academic pursuits.
Sign up for upcoming test prep bootcamps
To help Northwest ISD students transition to the next phase of their futures, the College, Career and Military Readiness website contains a large number of resources including information about paying for college, workforce transition and assessment preparation.

Save the date for upcoming sports physicals
All incoming Northwest ISD 7th through 12th grade athletes are required to have a yearly sports physical. Please make plans to attend your high school or feeder pattern school offering upcoming exams. To read more about dates, times and to purchase appointment tickets, click here.
Transfer application window open through May 15
Families interested in requesting a campus transfer for their students for the 2023-2024 school year can do so until 5 p.m. Monday, May 15, through an online transfer form. All transfer requests are considered on a case-by-case basis, as each student’s request is unique.

Northwest ISD allows families to request transfers to another campus for the next school year during a window that opens annually on April 1. Transfers requests are subject to the capacity of a campus, as several schools are closed to transfers because they are near or over their designed student enrollment.
Graduation website online for Class of 2023
Attention Class of 2023! Graduation is officially less than three months away.

Students and families may visit the district's graduation website for ceremony dates, times and locations. The graduation page will be continuously updated with relevant information — including live stream links — when available.

Resource Store provides free support to NISD teachers and students
The Northwest ISD Education Foundation's resource store and library provides immediate support to NISD teachers and students through free resources and educational materials. NISD teachers can “shop” for school and classroom supplies, snack packs, clothing items and books. All items are free to district educators!

Since the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year, the store has welcomed more than 350 in-person shoppers and received 500+ online order requests. Because of overwhelming needs, we are asking for your help! The store is currently out of pencils and markers. Books of all reading levels are also in high demand. If you feel inclined to help, please visit the store's online wishlist.
Mobile Food Pantry open on May 20
Northwest ISD is partnering with Tarrant Area Food Bank and the Northwest ISD Education Foundation to offer a monthly mobile market to provide groceries and assistance to families in need.

Time: 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20

Location: NISD Administration Building
2001 Texan Drive in Justin

Food distribution will be in the parking lot next to NISD Stadium until 11 a.m. Food and supplies are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
