March 2023 News

Greetings!

Here at Canopy Roads our vision is to raise up a new generation of Christ followers by becoming an outwardly focused church of neighborhood and marketplace missionaries that live SENT.

Each week, eleven Canopy Roads members are living SENT as they bring the Gospel to boys and girls in a public school classroom. Yes! A public school classroom! Isn't that awesome!? We are so excited and thrilled to be a part of what God is doing through the Good News Club at Killearn Lakes Elementary School. Check out this report!

Since last October, we have reached a total of 103 children. Two children made decisions to become fully devoted followers of Christ and two children were baptized! We have also seen many of our Good News Club families attending services here on Sunday morning. This is one of the many reasons we have Good News Club – to reach the child with the goal to then reach the entire family.

We are thankful to be able to partner with God in His work. For this school year, Good News Club will continue to meet until May 2, 2023. Will you commit to pray for the GNC Team, the children, their families and KLES? If you're interested in learning more about Good News Club and how to get involved, you can reach out to me at any time! Check out the photo below of our group!

All for the children,

"Let the little children come..." Matthew 19:14
Hey Parents! Did you know St. Patrick was a missionary? Try these fun St. Patrick's Day activities at home with your kids!
  • As a missionary, St. Patrick used shamrocks
to teach people about the Trinity: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. This is still a great way to teach your child about who God is! Have your child trace shamrocks onto green paper and cut them out. Label each leaf with the appropriate part of the Trinity and explain the concept to your child. Write "Father" on the top leaf, "Son" on the left leaf and "Holy Spirit" on the right leaf. Have small cutouts or stickers of a church, a cross and a dove on hand for them to glue onto their shamrocks. The church is glued by "Father," the cross by "Son" and the dove by "Holy Spirit." If you would like a sturdier shamrock, you can have your child trace the shamrocks onto green poster board and cut them out.

  • On St. Patrick's Day many people wear green so they don't get pinched! Use
this to remind your child that the color green can remind us of growth. Talk to them about ways to get to God better and how to become more like Him. Put on clothes that are green and ask them to name things that are green that grow. Then enjoy a special snack of green foods such as grapes, apples, pickles or cucumbers!

CANOPY KIDZ IS GROWING AND THE KIDS NEED YOU!
The CRBC Kids Ministry is growing rapidly! We are praising God for what He is doing! He is bringing young families with children to our church and we are excited about this!

With such an increase in Sunday morning attendance, we have a great need for more volunteers. Right now our classrooms from Birth thru 5th grade are very short staffed. To be able to provide the safest and most irresistible experience for kids, we need more hands on deck EVERY week. This will allow children to have a safe and impactful experience that is developmentally appropriate for their age group.

Would you prayerfully consider serving on a weekly basis in Canopy Kidz at either 9:30 or 11:00 am?

For more information on how to get involved as a volunteer contact Preschool Directors, Jesse and Melissa or Children's Director, Jenna Morris.
SPRING FLING | APRIL 1 | 10 AM to 12 PM

So let them know and come spend the morning with us!
