Get It Done SB! and Mi Regalo are celebrating a successful Advance Care Planning workshop this time in collaboration with St. George Community Center!

In August, more than 20 seniors assisted Part 1 of our Advance Care Planning workshop to complete a MyCare Advance Directive.

With the help of our community volunteer, Maria Otero Charre and St. George Community Center’s Griselda Villalpando, a safe space was created to allow participants to share their fears and wishes. Planning for future medical care is not easy, we appreciate all of the efforts and the passion from all of our partners to ensure these workshops take place.

Thank you, St. George Community Center, for your amazing contributions to Advance Care Planning efforts in Santa Barbara!

Get It Done SB! y Mi Regalo celebran otro taller exitoso, esta vez en colaboración con St. George Community Center!

En agosto, más de veinte participantes asistieron a la primera parte del taller de Planificación Anticipada de Atención Médica para completar su Directiva Anticipada.

Con la ayuda de nuestra voluntaria comunitaria, Maria Otero Charre y coordinadora de St. George Community Center, Griselda Villalpando, ambas crearon un espacio seguro para que los participantes pudieran expresar sus miedos y deseos. Este tema no es fácil, así que agradecemos el esfuerzo y la pasión de todos nuestros colaboradores para llevar estos talleres acabo. 

¡Gracias a St. George Community Center por sus increíbles contribuciones a los esfuerzos de Planificación Anticipada de Atención Médica en Santa Bárbara!

Buscamos personas entusiastas y compasivas que puedan facilitar talleres y/o citas individuales para miembros de la comunidad interesados ​​en Planificación Anticipada de Atención Médica. Una capacitación en inglés comenzará a principios del próximo año.

Get It Done SB! (GIDSB) and Mi Regalo (MR) are Hospice of Santa Barbara's (HSB) Advance Care Planning (ACP) initiatives, focused on bringing awareness and education in both English and Spanish to ensure that all of our community members know and have a completed Advance Directive before they need it.
