The South Carolina Bar Convention was full of impact, inspiration and growth! We were fortunate enough this year to provide tickets for our grantees to experience the event and stay on top of legal changes, check off continuing legal education credits, and network with other legal professionals.

Board Member Spotlight

Cherie Barton | Attorney, Barton Family Law | General Counsel

It’s been my honor to serve on the Board of the Bar Foundation for the past six years and see what a difference the IOLTA funds and donations are making in the lives of the underserved in South Carolina. By helping to fund legal access and education programs throughout the state, the Board helps insure that citizens' rights are protected and that students are learning more about the legal process so they may be in a position to give back one day. I think it’s important to give back to your community and this is a way for me to give back to my legal community and South Carolina as a whole. I will be sad to leave the Board but look forward to continuing to support the work it does in other ways.
