The CLCA East Bay Chapter would like to invite you to become a Partner for Success in 2024. Being a Partner is an excellent opportunity for suppliers to gain access to potential buyers and educate licensed contractors about the latest technologies. The 2024 Partners for Success Program also includes a new contractor level.

In 2023 the chapter offered our members opportunities to network, participate in educational trainings and give back to the East Bay community with volunteer projects.

In January the chapter kicked off the year with a networking event sponsored by Golden Gate Truck Center at Drake's Beer Garden in Oakland. In April more mingling took place at Plank in Oakland with bocce ball. In October CLCA members voted on the East Bay Chapter 2024 Board of Directors at the General Membership Networking Event sponsored by Golden Gate Truck Center and Greenworks at Fieldwork Brewing Co. in San Ramon.

In the spring Allied Landscape Services and Terra Landscape volunteered at the world-renowned University of California Botanical Garden at Berkeley. The project involved replacing decaying timber steps in the Garden’s Redwood Grove section, as well as working on paths to prevent washouts and clearing fallen branches after the recent windstorms. In May the chapter completed our third annual day of service at the Oakland Zoo. East Bay Members, their families and crews installed a new irrigation system and planted native plants surrounding the main entrance sign. The 2024 community project will be announced in spring. We hope you will join us and volunteer in the East Bay Community.

Spring and fall included educational training luncheons at SiteOne Hardscape Center in Dublin. The Drip Irrigation with Fertigation with EZFLO training included the benefits of fertigation, contrast against traditional methods and different uses/products for the system and more. The Master Smart Controller hands-on training presented by the Rain Bird Northern California team included Rain Bird’s 2 wire Controller Trailer with their new 2 wire controller the LXIVM live! Rain Bird’s residential controllers were also live for programing and troubleshooting purposes. 

The chapter was excited to celebrate this year's Beautification Award Winners at Crow Canyon Country Club in June. Check out the winning projects and save the date June 7th for the 2024 dinner and presentation. 

In August, we feasted on delicious barbeque grub at the tailgate party hosted by Ewing at the Annual Battle of the Bay, Oakland A's vs. San Francisco Giants Baseball Game. All chapter Partners will receive a generous number of tickets to the 2024 Battle of the Bay baseball game on Sunday, August 18th. Tickets include the tailgate party with plenty of time to mingle and network in a private space reserved for our ticket holders.

The holiday celebration was at the East Bay Incoming President, Loren McIrvin's home on December 1st. It was wonderful to share the spirit of the season with the CLCA Board of Directors and Chapter Members and their families with delicious food and the always fun white elephant gift exchange.
